Dentis USA: SQUVA

Any dentist placing implants knows that strong osseointegration is vital to long-termdentis usa squva implant success.  But over time, biological aging of the implant can occur, which causes hydrocarbons to adhere to the implant surface and interfere with osseointegration. SQUVA, which stands for SQ UV Activator, was designed by Dentis USA to solve this problem.

The Benefits of UV Irradiation

Several studies have shown that UV irradiation promotes adhesion, spreading, proliferation, and differentiation of osteoblasts, while improving the absorption of proteins such as albumin or fibronectin. It also removes various organic impurities like hydrocarbons on the implant surface, which are considered to be the primary cause of degradation issues.

In only 10 seconds, SQUVA enhances the surface of the implant through UV irradiation. This increases the hydrophilicity and blood absorption rate for stronger osseointegration, while eliminating harmful organisms and reducing healing time. An LCD touch panel offers simple operation, while a motion sensor on/off results in less contact so that there are no concerns about cross-contamination.

SQUVA is designed as an open system to allow prompt application to existing implant systems, including bone- and tissue-level implants. It can be placed immediately after extraction and also can be used when hard or soft tissue is in poor condition, as in geriatric patients.

Key Features:

  • • Motion sensor on/off reduces unnecessary contact
  • • 5-inch LCD touch panel for easy operation
  • • Voice notifications offer guidance during operation
  • • O-zone sensor detects ozone leaks for user safety
