Dive into Digital Dentistry at Envista Summit 2023
Envista Summit 2023 is a 3-day technology summit that offers lectures and hands-on workshops taught by dental experts—with endo, ortho, and implant specialty tracks
General dentist. Orthodontist. Oral surgeon. Endodontist. Whatever your dental specialty, the need for up-to-date equipment that accurately and clearly captures data is critical to accurate diagnoses—and successful patient outcomes. While streamlined workflows are the goal in every practice, this is where the Envista Summit comes into play.
Designed to help clinicians rise to the next level of innovation, the Envista Summit is a 3-day event planned for February 23-25, 2023, at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, NV. The conference offers dozens of keynote speakers, interactive demos, inspirational sessions, and hands-on workshops with industry leaders.
See the Latest Innovations in Dentistry
There will be over 30 Envista brands featured at the Envista Summit, including Nobel Biocare, Ormco, Orascoptic, Kerr, and DEXIS. Other innovations on display will include Nobel Biocare’s Xeal and Ti-Ultra implant surface technology, DEXIS imaging products including: OP 3D™ x-ray unit, DTX Studio™ Clinic, NOMAD™ Pro 2, DEXIS Titanium digital sensors and DEXIS IS Solutions, as well as Ormco’s Spark™ Clear Aligner. In addition, attendees will see and learn about the new Damon Ultima System, the latest addition to Ormco’s bracket and wire portfolio of products, and the Spark clear aligner system.
“Dentists can see all the new technologies available and how they can diagnose and do successful treatment planning with the latest digital tools.”
- Dr. Katya Archambault
3 Specialty Tracks
Featuring over 100 leaders in the dental industry presenting workshops in 3 separate tracks—ortho, implant, and endo—the Envista Summit 2023 provides an informative learning experience with the industry’s latest technologies.
Dr. Joe Mehranfar will return for the 2023 event and will present several workshops at Envista Summit, including “Modernizing Your Analog Practice to a Digital Practice” and “Digital Workflow for a Navigated AO4,” in which he will discuss the full-arch reconstruction using a digital workflow, as well as the role of CBCT imaging in navigating surgery diagnosis and implant treatment planning. Dr. Mehranfar is a dental implantology practitioner in Arizona who is also an adjunct assistant professor at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine and A.T. Still University School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa.
“Clinicians should attend this conference because the way we practice is changing, and a digital workflow is not the future—it is now!”
- Dr. Joe Mehranfar
“I’ll address the steps needed, from the patient’s initial visit, including the equipment and how we use the technology to capture the data,” he explained. “We’ll address the steps of CBCT capture and using the DEXIS equipment and the DTX software to plan and merge data; intraoral scanning to capture soft tissue; smile design; and creating a digital wax-up of the patient’s teeth before we even start surgery. Then, we’ll go through the surgery, as well as the equipment and materials needed to deliver the prosthetic the same day,” he continued.
“I’m going to be very transparent,” Dr. Mehranfar said. “I’m going to show them my struggles and my experiences, and I’m going to show them the technology and what it can actually do,” he said. “This is not something you can do over a webinar—you have to see it, touch it, feel it—this is key because it’s how we learn.”
In-Person or Virtual Options
Over the course of the 3-day summit, attendees can network and build connections with industry professionals and dental peers, as well as enjoy social events. Additionally, attendees have the choice of attending the Envista Summit either in-person or virtually.
Dr. Katya Archambault will also return for the 2023 event and will present several workshops, including “Hands-on Computer: Reading Scans in DTX Studio Clinic” and “Reading CBCT 101 and 102,” in which she will share her unique insights into CBCT technology and how CBCT technology can play a crucial role in planning and performing successful dental surgeries. Dr. Archambault , whose practice is in San Diego, CA, is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial radiologist from UCLA and a clinical instructor with the Department of Surgery, Division of Otolaryngology at UCSD.
“My presentation will be very user-friendly,” Dr. Archambault explained. “I will show them tips and tricks and we will go through several cases so they can see how to manipulate images.”
“I plan to show dentists that it’s a lot easier to use 3D than 2D, because 3D is a representation of the normal anatomy,” she explained. “All the medical fields use 3D now, and it’s not something to be scared of. In fact, it’s a facilitator and it will improve their communication with patients because patients relate to 3D images much better than 2D images. Dentists will also have fewer misdiagnoses with 3D, and I will show them cases where nothing is visible on 2D but yet on 3D it’s obvious that something is going on.”
Earn CE Credits
CE credits will be available for in-person attendees and virtual attendees who join during the live event. With up to 14 CE credits available, Ormco Corporation, Nobel Biocare, DEXIS, and Kerr will designate course eligibility.
“It’s a very exciting summit to attend, and dentists can see all the new technologies available and how they can diagnose and do successful treatment planning with the latest digital tools,” Dr. Archambault said.
“Clinicians should attend this conference because the way we practice is changing, and a digital workflow is not the future—it is now!” Dr. Mehranfar said. “You will leave knowing exactly what you need to transform your office into a digital practice."
