DTX Studio Suite
A single digital platform to connect treatment and technologies from beginning to end-- from imaging acquisition to diagnostics, implant planning, surgery, and restorations
Clinical data, whether an x-ray image, 3D scan, or digital impression, is a powerful thing. But as technology continues to play a key role in treatment, it’s more important than ever to house this digital data under one, searchable roof. Pulling all of your practice’s technologies into a single platform simplifies the treatment process for the entire dental team—from diagnosis to treatment.
For Dr. Scott MacLean, an implant workup is often the first plan of action when patients present to his practice. This includes 3D and panoramic images, digital scans, and a full-mouth series of intraoral x rays. Stitching all of these components together used to mean fetching data from multiple software programs—a challenge for the dental team.
Presentations That Flow
Enter DTX Studio suite, a combination of DTX Studio Clinic, DTX Studio Implant, and DTX Studio Lab, which provides a digitally integrated platform to streamline treatment from beginning to end. Dr. MacLean now uses the software for every step of restorative treatment—from capturing images, diagnosing, and treatment planning, to working with his in-house lab to design and fabricate restorations. Using an intuitive SmartLayout functionality, he can easily combine CBCT, photos, or digital scans into a single view that can be bookmarked or used to finalize surgical plans.
“Now, we can put all of these technologies into one software so that treatment presentations have a better flow. Patients are very driven by visuals, so doing this creates a ‘wow’ factor that gets them much more interested in pursuing treatment.”
For a digital smile design presentation, Dr. MacLean can place images directly into DTX Studio Clinic, and then add in periodontal records, x-rays, and even the patient’s hobbies and interests to create an expansive presentation with the most predictable outcome.
“It’s worthwhile to have the patient really understand the treatment we are going to perform so they can be in the right mindset to accept it,” said Dr. MacLean. “Plus, they will see you as an exceptionally thorough dentist.”
DTX Studio suite allows Dr. MacLean to share treatment planning with referring clinicians. This way, they get to see how advanced and thorough his practice is, as well as the level of treatment patients will receive. In an implant case, for example, referring clinicians can visualize the treatment plan from every angle.
A Searchable Treatment Library
DTX Studio suite allows practices to build a library of cases that can be shown to patients as a HIPAA compliant treatment acceptance tool. Being able to label and save cases makes it easy for Dr. MacLean to tee up the most relevant treatment example based on the patient’s age and diagnosis—giving them a better idea of what their treatment outcome might look like.
“The beauty of DTX Studio Clinic is that it’s a container that houses all of this data on a tooth level, rather than trying to show a patient images from multiple places,” he said. “Organizing all of our data in DTX Studio software guarantees that I can easily search for and find the exact information I need, and then present it in a meaningful way.”
