Despite the fact that there are thousands of dental manufacturer websites covering an equal number of products and services, there’s one common thread that ties them all together: websites that fall into 2 categories—those that are helpful, and those that are not. Often, the contrast between the two is apparent at first glance, and dental professionals can tell right away if they’ll find what they need. Some websites can look disorganized, with nonfunctioning links and a busy, confusing appearance that makes it challenging to extract the needed information. And then there are those that offer just the right amount of information in an easy-to-read format. In the case of the new BISCO website, there's simply no debating.

Well Organized & Easy to Use

BISCO's newly designed website features a non-cluttered look that offers easy-to-see drop-down menus that showcase the company's expansive line of dental restorative materials. BISCO's new website hasn’t gone unnoticed by clinicians, who say they turn to the site whenever they’re looking for helpful hints to keep their workflow running efficiently, need to get answers to their questions, or find themselves stocking up and ordering more materials for their practice using the company’s unique “Direct to You” ordering program.

“My first impression of the new website is that it seems more up-to-date and user friendly,” shared Craig Aebli, DDS, MS, FAGD, who practices in Sanford, FL. “It’s easy to navigate to find products and information, and ordering products was straightforward—there was no difficulty there!”

“I love the new BISCO website and I like that everything you need is on the first page—from the products and videos to the Ask the Experts column,” observed Mitchell S. Pasenkoff, DMD, in Norfolk, MA. “It makes it easier to research.”

When in Doubt, Ask the Experts

Jam-packed with popular FAQs, the website’s Ask the Experts feature includes questions and answers organized by material type, such as primers, cements, and adhesion, to name just a few. Website visitors can also submit their own questions and post them to BISCO’s experts, including the company’s Chairman Emeritus, Dr. Byoung Suh; Clinical Marketing Manager Dr. Rolando Nuñez; and Manager of R&D Technology, Dr. Qiang Ma.

“I think Ask the Experts is a nice feature,” Dr. Aebli shared, “because if I have specific questions, I know there is a resource to get possible answers.”

Videos, Webinars, and Podcasts, Oh My!

In addition to product information, BISCO’s new website includes a hefty selection of videos, inviting site visitors to “nerd out” with dentist testimonials and videos answering questions like “Which Products Can I Use to Help Avoid Post-Operative Sensitivity?” and “Do I Need to Prime My Restoration Before Cementation With TheraCem?”

The site also includes the widely popular Bonding & Beer dental podcast hosted by Dr. Nuñez, who is as knowledgeable as he is entertaining. Each episode, he uncorks a new beer and dives into the world of dental bonding while sharing insights, telling stories, and answering dentists’ questions.

“Instead of having to search YouTube for BISCO educational videos, it’s all on one site,” Dr. Pasenkoff said. “The videos and Pro Tips answer the questions you have but are afraid to ask, and it’s all presented in a way that’s simple but never condescending.”

So Much to Learn

Another popular website feature is the Education tab, which offers a wide selection of interesting blogs, e-books, brochures, instructions, podcasts, webinars, and events.

“I like the education section of the drop-down menu,” shared Dr. Aebli, “because having educational content is always a plus. I look for that type of content to properly understand how products work and how they should be used. The blog has a lot of good topics I would like to review, and I enjoy watching the webinars as well." In fact, when Dr. Aebli can find the time, he said he would like to watch all of them!

"The e-books are great because I can quickly read through them to get good information on products and techniques," he continued. "Having all these resources archived on the website makes it easy to reference information one may need on any restorative procedure. I personally look for resources that address bonding and pulpal protection since I deal with those techniques on a daily basis.”

It’s a point seconded by Dr. Pasenkoff. “Overall, I like BISCO’s new website,” he shared. “It has a good feel to it,” he added, “and more dental websites should be like this."
