The story of Hager Worldwide begins with its long-established sister company, Hager & Werken GmbH, located in Duisburg in the German Ruhr Valley. Whenever possible, Hager & Werken has tried to shape the market through innovation and social and environmental commitment.
When asked how the company has managed to steer a successful course for 75 years, Patrick Hager, the third generation of family management and ownership, said, “We do our best to stay one step ahead.”
Patrick’s grandfather, Edgar Hager, founded Hager & Werken to import innovative products for German dentists and lab technicians. In 1963, he passed responsibility for the company to his son Michael Hager. In addition to his search for innovative products, Michael focused on manufacturing and globalization. In 1967, Hager & Werken was the first company in Europe to introduce sterile disposable cannulas for anesthesia.
In 1976, Michael opened Hager Worldwide, now based in North Carolina. The company has used its global reach and eye for innovation to provide dental professionals in North America with an array of unique dental technologies from Europe and around the world. Today, Hager Worldwide is known as a “specialist in dental specialty products,” with its vast and diversified product portfolio serving as a go-to resource for dental professionals and dental dealer representatives.
Some of the company’s iconic specialty products include the MiraTray Implant Advanced, which changed the game for open-tray implant restoration impressions, and the ergonomic Bambach Saddle Seat, the first of its kind and designed by an Australian occupational therapist over 30 years ago. In line with its sister company Hager & Werken, Hager Worldwide keeps looking ahead. For example, the importance of environmental awareness and sustainability are evident in its Bio products, which are made from 100% sustainable bio-based resources, such as sugarcane. Products in this line include the single-use, prepasted toothbrush Happy Morning Bio.
MiraTray Implant Advanced
Hager’s MiraTray Implant Advanced impression tray takes the guess and mess out of open tray impressions for implant cases. With a patented clear foil covering the bottom of the tray, the MiraTray allows easy visualization of the impression copings before filling, and keeps more of the impression material in the tray during placement, when the copings pierce the foil. The copings then remain in the impression material during removal.
This design eliminates the need to cut holes, while providing superior accuracy for the lab. “I use MiraTray Implant Advanced for all of my open tray implant impressions because it makes my job easier and is cost-effective. Anyone who places implants should have this product,” noted Timothy Kosinski, DDS, MAGD.
Happy Morning Bio

The idea of the Bambach Saddle Seat was born from the observation that people who needed support to sit in a conventional chair could sit unsupported— and comfortably—on horseback, where the shape of the saddle allowed their spine to remain in its natural S configuration, rather than compressing into a C.
