HEXA Temporary Crown and Bridge Material
Multifunctional bis-acrylic material makes it easy to create esthetic provisional restorations
Some would argue that there’s not much to get excited about when it comes to temporary crown and bridge materials. But others, like Dr. Pedram Mastour, who recently put HEXA Temporary Crown and Bridge Material to the test, would disagree. During a weeks-long product review, Dr. Mastour and other clinicians deemed the material as a DPS Best Product thanks to its automix delivery, variety of shade options, and easy cleanup.
Strong & Esthetic Provisionals
Like his peers, Dr. Mastour was hoping to find a temporary material that would make strong and esthetic provisionals that mimic the final restoration. “HEXA Temporary Crown and Bridge Material is a great product with beautiful translucency and excellent polishing properties,” he shared, adding that the material’s overall esthetics is the feature he enjoys most.
Jon Lundquist, DDS, shared that what he likes best about HEXA Temporary Crown and Bridge Material is its ease of use and accuracy, as well as its ability to decrease chair time with a 4-minute set.
A Good Marginal
Fit Bis-acryl resins like HEXA Temporary Crown and Bridge Material provide numerous benefits over other types of provisional materials. For starters, they are typically dispensed from preloaded syringes or cartridges through an automix tip, which provides a consistent mix free of air bubbles. They also can be gentler on pulp tissue and have low shrinkage for a good marginal fi t.
Formulated for Success
Made in Germany, HEXA Temporary Crown and Bridge Material is self-curing and comes in several brilliant translucent shades—A1, A2, A3, A3.5, B1, and Bleach—for ideal esthetics, even in variable light conditions, and it polishes very well. It also is extremely fracture-resistant with high flexural strength and abrasion resistance. A defined elastic phase allows for a minimal curing temperature and safe removal of temporaries.
Available in a 50-mL cartridge with 10 mixing tips, it has a rapid automix delivery, producing accurate reproduction of tooth detail with 40 seconds of working time.
