Infinity Cordless Hygiene Handpiece
Designed for balanced and comfortable operation, the Young Infinity Cordless handpiece offers flexibility of use and the freedom to use any disposable prophy angle
From the moment patients arrive in the dental chair, clinicians have 2 goals in mind: to provide optimal dental care to patients and keep them comfortable during treatment. But comfort doesn’t always extend to both sides of the chair, and many clinicians suffer from the effects of repetitive, musculoskeletal stressors—a health concern that goes hand in hand with providing daily patient care. Ergonomically designed instruments can help, especially for workflow staples like handpieces.
Convenience Meets Ergonomics
That’s the case with the Infinity Cordless Handpiece System, which combines an ergonomic design with the convenience of a cordless foot pedal and handpiece for increased range of motion and mobility. The handpiece features a lighter weight of 118 g, which is about 4 oz. The balanced fit is easy and comfortable to use all day. As an additional benefit, Infinity features a quiet and smooth operation for reduced patient anxiety.
“The Infinity Cordless handpiece is well balanced and lightweight. It should be very comfortable in most clinicians’ hands,” shared Anne Guignon, RDH, MPH, CSP.

The Infinity handpiece is compatible with virtually all Doriot-style disposable prophy angles and connects via Bluetooth to a cordless foot pedal, which is included in the system. The handpiece uses a 360° nosecone swivel and a rotary motion, and has a variable speed range of between 500 to 3,000 rpm.
Longer Battery Life
The handpiece has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that charges in just 90 minutes. Standard operating time at full charge is 3 hours, 20 minutes, which is 4 times the battery life of the leading cordless handpiece. The Infinity Cordless Handpiece System includes 3 autoclavable nosecones, as well as the foot pedal.
The Infinity system also includes 25 disposable barrier sleeves for simple, effective infection control that is CDC-compliant. In addition, Young offers an optional handpiece cradle designed for safe storage of the handpiece.
“This is a well-designed, well-thought-out product that charges quickly,” added Guignon. Overall, the Infinity Cordless offers clinicians a versatile, ergonomic handpiece with a strong battery life.
