Air-to-electric conversion system comprises three models for practices’ varying needs

Ask any dentist why they prefer electric handpieces, and they'll respond with reasons such as high power, low noise, and speed control. Ask any dentist why they may hesitate when making an electrics purchase, and some of the hangups are weight, heat, and complexity/cost of maintenance. KaVo's recent introduction of the ELECTROmatic system delivers on the pros and addresses the objections.

Designed to make electrics easy for the dentist while delivering top performance and efficiency, KaVo's ELECTROmatic is the first external air-to-electric conversion system with a dual-motor option. This means operators can use their electric system for both high- and low-speed handpieces in the same procedure without having to disconnect and swap out.

"ELECTROmatic features constant torque, controlled speed, quiet operation, and increased versatility, making the transition to electric handpieces easier than ever," said Adam Hoffman, Senior Marketing Manager for KaVo Kerr.

In combination with KaVo handpieces, KaVo electric systems provide stable control from 2 to 200,000 rpm for efficient and highly precise work.

"The ELECTROmatic platform has three models to offer the right fit of features and budget for every practice," said Hoffman.

• ELECTROmatic Premium is an all-in-one device featuring a color touch screen for intuitive handling and integrated endo function with more than 20 preprogrammed file systems and optional reciprocating functions.

• ELECTROmatic Plus is the solution for all high-speed and low-speed applications.

• ELECTROmatic represents the entry point into the world of KaVo electrics.

In addition to the technology itself being intuitive and stressfree, the plug-and-play system connects to a standard air tubing and automatically adjusts to the air pressure of the existing dental unit. KaVo is also attuned to ergonomics. ELECTROmatic can be installed in many positions for optimal integration with the treatment unit.

"Switching to KaVo electric can help dental professionals improve their efficiency, provide better patient care, and increase confidence in handling complicated cases," Hoffman added.
