Panasil and Silginat
Panasil brings predictability to all impression techniques and indications, while Silginat is the new standard for preliminary impressions

When I started my practice in 2005, I was using a very expensive material to take impressions. But that wasn’t fi nancially sustainable based on the large amount of crown and bridge, implants, and denture work we do—along with clear aligners and Perio Protect. I really needed a material that did not cost a fortune and could give me a precise impression, because one of the most frustrating things is having lab work that doesn’t fit right in the patient's mouth.
I thought, “Am I stuck having to spend a lot on material to get the results I needed?” It seemed I was, until I heard about Panasil. I did my research, read great reviews, and gave it a try.
Precision with PanasilI found that Panasil offered the best of both worlds as a very high-quality yet affordable impression material. It’s available in low, medium, and high viscosity precision, as well as a kneadable putty, all based on A silicone. The light body gives you such great detail, but because it’s so light, you use the heavy body as well. My lab has been very happy with the impressions, and we’re happy with the end product.
Because I take a high volume of impressions, Kettenbach provided me with a dispensing machine. I was a little worried about the impact that could have on my team's established workflows, but it was easy to use, the impressions were beautiful, and the crowns we were getting back from the lab were amazing. I am so pleased with the results.
“Now that I’ve seen the positive impact they’ve had in my practice and realized such cost efficiencies, there’s no way I’d ever switch to anything else.”
Silginat to the RescueIn dental school, we used alginate to make study models and temporary dentures, but the material is so temperamental and hard to use. A few years ago, in an effort to save money, I wanted to switch from our alginate alternative PVS material back to alginate. However, my assistants said, "Absolutely not," because alginate is hard to use. My Kettenbach rep offered me Silginat, a solution that wound up being perfect for me and my team. We use it for our study models, dentures, and sleep appliances. It’s a wonderful material that I have come to rely on for its easy handling, accuracy, storability, and affordability. The fact that Silginat can be poured multiple times is wonderful.
Never Going BackIt was a game-changing day when I discovered Kettenbach and its impression material brands, Panasil and Silginat. Now that I’ve seen the positive impact that they’ve had in my practice, there’s no way I’d ever switch to anything else. We’re that happy with the results.

Silginat
Silginat is an alginate alternative, medium-bodied viscosity (VPS) impression material. Silginat has a low tear resistance to avoid dislodging restorations or orthodontic appliances inadvertently. The material also has a high dimensional stability, so model impressions can be kept for weeks and poured multiple times. Silginat is highly thixotropic, and flows properly under pressure.
