TRIOS 4

The newest addition to the 3Shape family of
intraoral scanners, TRIOS 4 simplifies scanning
with sharp, high-quality images

A digital workflow using the TRIOS 4 intraoral scanner from 3Shape makes scanning fast and simple. Here, Dr. Albert Internoscia explains his two favorite features of TRIOS 4: less chair time and more realistic images. Best of all, patients notice both immediately.

I’m always looking for technology that can improve my outcomes. So, if I think that something can be better, I’m interested in learning more about it. And if I can reduce my costs, that's even better.

The TRIOS 4 intraoral scanner has really leapfrogged ahead of any other similar scanner on the market, especially in terms of quality and technology. To me, it’s always been ahead of the pack, and this latest model only amplifies that fact.

The biggest advantage that I saw right from the start is that I am able to get instant feedback on my preparations. And, by being able to blow up the images on a large screen, I can see areas that I had undercuts where I didn’t think I had them. Or, I can see margins that maybe aren’t quite as good as I had hoped. Best of all, I can make immediate changes on my preparations because I have this instant feedback. That’s something you don’t get when you’re doing traditional crown-and-bridge impressioning.

I’m also impressed with some of the more advanced features on the TRIOS 4 for implantwhy get a trios 4 impressioning. Being able to use a scan body to tell the lab the accurate positioning of an implant has really made our digital treatment planning seamless. It is just so much more improved over traditional impressioning methods. We are more accurate, which translates into less chair time for patients, our workflow is more efficient, and we’ve seen better patient outcomes, which has enhanced our business.

Another practice builder that I’ve seen with the TRIOS 4 is the effect it has on my patients. They are often very impressed by the fact that we're staying up to date and using technology that is both exciting and innovative. It also translates to increased word of mouth. We get better reviews online because it’s a better experience for patients. And, of course, it helps that they don’t have “impression goo” in their mouths!
