ALL-BOND UNIVERSAL simplifies restorative procedures by adapting to self-, total-, and selective-etch techniques.

Although the word “universal” is overused and, more often than not misused, BISCO may not be overstating its newest bonding system ALL-BOND UNIVERSAL. Among the definitions Merriam-Webster offers, universal means comprehensively broad, versatile, and adapted and adjustable to meet varied requirements. And that is a good description of ALL-BOND UNIVERSAL.

BISCO describes ALL-BOND UNIVERSAL as having the ideal chemical balance, using MDP monomers that result in the enhanced durability of the bond. The unique formulation of ALLBOND UNIVERSAL creates high bond strengths to all indirect substrates and is compatible with all light-cured, self-cured, and dual-cured resins, making it ideal for all direct and indirect restorations.

“I have always been a total-etch advocate and will etch enamel if it is present, but ALL-BOND UNIVERSAL has worked well in my practice for the cases when there is no enamel present and I want to achieve a high bond strength to dentin,” said Dr. Robert Margeas.

Many dentists are apprehensive about total etching of the dentin because of potential pulpal irritation from unsealed dentinal tubules or the physical pain-causing irritation from phosphoric acid itself. Therefore, a non-etch approach to dentin bonding is often used. For direct composite restorations, the selective-etch technique combines the best bonding to both tooth layers.

“Regardless of the etch technique used (no-etch, total-etch, or selective-etch), ALL-BOND UNIVERSAL excels. It is a truly comprehensive bonding system in a single bottle,” said Dr. Jack Griffin.
