A versatile dual-cured core material ideal for core buildups, post cementation, and dentin replacement
When Dr. Alex Gerskowitz first tried BISCO’s CORE-FLO DC core material in 2011, he was amazed. “The delivery system is excellent, and I love the choice of tips,” he told Dental Product Shopper during that evaluation. “Because of the excellent delivery system,” Dr. Gerskowitz continued, “I was able to use it in a very wide canal of the anterior tooth without the need of an actual post. And because of the width of the canal, the strength should be adequate.”
The material’s strength—which could not be evaluated in a standard 4-week DPS evaluation—was definitely adequate because this restoration has stood the test of time, as we recently found out when we checked in with Dr. Gerskowitz. He is still using CORE-FLO DC in his practice and has had no failed restorations in over 5 years of using the material.
Delivered with an auto-mix dual-syringe dispenser, CORE-FLO DC is a dual-cured core material suitable for core buildups, endodontic post cementation, and as a dentin replacement material. Calling the material “very compact and comfortable,” Dr. Gerskowitz said he is able to fully fill the post space in the canal prior to placing the post, regardless of the type of post. CORE-FLO DC is stackable and easy to handle, and another evaluator, a Georgia dentist, called it “one of the best build-up materials I have ever used due to its ease of placement and excellent handling properties.”
