Reducing Aligner
Full-suite aligner solution backed by Henry Schein makes aligner orthodontics simple and affordable

As dentists, it can be easy to lose track of time. Patients arrive late, appointments run over, emergencies get squeezed into the schedule. But something you really don’t want to lose track of is your aligner cases. Luckily, for Dr. Bruce McFarlane, excessive attachments and refinements are a thing of the past. That's because he now relies on Reveal Clear Aligners to get the job done. Here, he shares what makes the full-service aligner solution unique, and why it’s a great practice builder for dentists of all skill levels. As an orthodontist, it’s my passion to bring patients back to proper occlusion. So, nothing is more frustrating than putting my heart and soul into a patient’s treatment plan, only to watch the aligner not track as well as I want it to, and ultimately, not deliver results. I’ve worked with various aligner companies, and the frequent answer to this frustration has been adding more and more attachments. That becomes more of a nuisance than a solution, to the point where I may as well put braces on my patients!
For me, the solution has been the Reveal Clear Aligner system. Backed by Henry Schein, it is a full-suite aligner system that offers both orthodontists and general dentists a simple way to provide their patients with mild, moderate, or comprehensive aligner therapy.
Effective with Fewer AttachmentsThe two biggest differentiators of Reveal, in my opinion, are how well they track, and how well they track with considerably fewer attachments. As a recovering “attachoholic,” I start most of my Reveal cases without any attachments or IPR. This way, at the end of the first round, I am much more educated on what’s going to be necessary and where. The case ends up needing one or two attachments and a bit of IPR in the second round, as opposed to a shotgun approach of 17 attachments right from the start.
Clear, Stain-Resistant AlignersAnother big differentiator for Reveal is how clear and stain-resistant the aligners are. We encourage patients to wear their Reveal aligners for up to 2 weeks for certain movements. With other providers, after 2 weeks the aligner will look awful if they’ve worn it well. Reveal maintains its clarity throughout the recommended timeframe, which keeps patients happy and increases their compliance.
