The ADA has implemented new selective caries removal guidelines. This course will review these guidelines and present the clinical protocols to identify and remove caries-affected and infected dentin. These protocols will provide a foundation for minimizing the removal of healthy tooth structure, maximizing dentin bonds & long-term pulpal protection.
Learning Objectives
After completing this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Explain the technique for selective caries removal.
- Identify the importance of pulpal diagnosis prior to treatment.
- Learn the use of diagnostic aides (caries-staining dyes, etc.).
- Incorporate adhesive procedures that maximize bonds & protect the pulp.
