Everything’s Connected
You might be asking why a practice would need internet connectivity for its sterilizer. STATIM’s WiFi-enabled G4 technology sends cycle data to smart devices or a computer, freeing staff to focus on patients. Additionally, it sends maintenance reminders, instructions, and the option for automatic software updates, ensuring optimal functionality. Team members also can access cycle history, printing/validation data, and sterilization records. Finally, the G4 technology connects the STATIM to dedicated technicians, which allows for remote support and minimizes unnecessary downtime.

Faster….
The STATIM G4’s cassette approach provides myriad advantages over conventional chamber autoclaves. Because it does not need to heat an entire large chamber, the STATIM G4 offers rapid sterilization and fast cycles—it heats only the steam required for the cycle through a specialized steam generator. Not only does this make sterilization a lot faster, but it minimizes waste. Using only a small amount of water, the STATIM G4 produces fresh steam for every cycle, and instruments are sterilized and dried quickly.
Sara Fernandez, Dr. Tong’s dental assistant, noted, “We have a couple of other autoclaves in the practice. We always use the STATIM G4 for hygiene instruments. It’s much faster than the others.”
Although a bit of a tongue twister, SciCan’s proprietary positive pressure pulse displacement technology is a powerful perk—it uses pressure pulses to displace air and saturated steam to sterilize effectively in as little as 6 minutes. The removable cassettes allow unwrapped instruments to be aseptically transported to where they need to be.

Furthermore, STATIM G4 is kind to instruments by using fresh water with every cycle. Its state-of-the-art steam technology is gentle on both solid and hollow instruments.
Two models are available, both employing proprietary Dri-Tec drying technology. The smaller STATIM 2000 G4 offers convection-heat drying and cycle times for up to 5 pouches between 6 and 35 minutes. Accommodating larger loads, the STATIM 5000 G4 offers accelerated radiant heat drying with full cycle times (for as many as 12 pouches) from 9 minutes to 40 minutes.
