The Aspen Group University (TAG U) unlocks clinicians' full potential, providing them with the skills, community, and resources needed to excel in every phase of their careers
While dental students invest a substantial amount of time, education, and training into becoming dentists, they still have a lot to learn after establishing themselves, first as professionals and then eventually as practice owners. And the truth is: learning never ends.
“We want dentists to have incredible clinical skills as well as feel confident in the other important aspects of their role—leading and managing a team and running a thriving business,” said Chrissie Leibman, SVP of Learning and Development at The Aspen Group and Dean of the newly launched The Aspen Group University (TAG U). “TAG U offers a holistic, well-rounded infrastructure to help dentists grow and foster these skills better and faster.”
Staunch Support for Your Success
Fueled by innovation and technology, TAG U supports dental professionals in a wide array of professional and personal growth opportunities through world-class learning experiences at every phase of their lives and careers.
“TAG U builds a strong foundation for Associates, and then layers in more leadership and business development to get them ready to be Managing Clinical Directors. From there, the idea of owning a practice becomes more attainable,” Leibman said. “Once they reach ownership, the support continues.”
Comprehensive Education Offerings
The TAG U faculty guides students through 4 Schools of Excellence: Clinical, Leadership, Business & Operations, and Service & Support. “In any given day or week, dentists might start with learning to build authentic connections with patients and team members under Service & Support Excellence. Then, they might practice hands-on denture skills under Clinical Excellence and learn how to analyze their business metrics under Business & Operations Excellence," Leibman said.
Courses are available at select in-person locations, including at TAG’s Chicago headquarters; on-demand online; and in a Harvard-inspired virtual classroom studio. “The TAG U Classroom Studio has 60 monitors in an arc around a stage where the facilitator presents. It's the perfect middle ground between in-person and virtual learning," Leibman explained. "The learners feel like they are in a physical classroom, and the presenter brings the same energy and interaction that they would have during in-person learning."
She concluded, “What I am most proud of about TAG U is that it’s not just education —it’s a remarkable community. Clinicians form bonds with peers who cheer for one another on good days and lean on each other when they're feeling stressed. It goes further than creating better dentists; TAG U aims to make people better versions of themselves, which in turn, makes them better at work and in their lives.”
