In this workflow, the Digital Dental Exchange (DDX) lab portal connects with 3Shape Communicate—a cloud-based collaboration platform that lets doctors share intraoral scans, case information, and designs with lab partners anywhere in the world—to offer a comprehensive case management solution.
Through a one-time integration, the DDX and 3Shape digital systems stay automatically synchronized, saving time for the dental team, eliminating the fear of duplicate entries, and creating a streamlined approach for transferring fi les that eliminates the need for manual data entry.
A Growing Digital Ecosystem
In addition to the 3Shape TRIOS, Reveal’s extensive digital integration lineup includes Medit, Primescan, and Planmeca Emerald scanners, which can easily be integrated with the practice’s Reveal Clear Aligner digital workflow. Reveal also is compatible with most other scanner systems using .STL file formats and offers step-by-step workflow guides for the most popular scanners.
This means practices don’t need to purchase new scanner equipment or pay scanner-related fees. Plus, a Reveal Aligner Onboarding Specialist will help the practice get set up and connected, whether it’s establishing a direct integration with an existing scanner system or learning how to import .STL files into the DDX lab portal.
Visualizing Treatment
Available in the DDX lab portal, the Studio Pro 4.0 treatment visualization software gives Reveal providers advanced tools to visualize, modify, and share aligner treatment plans with their patients. For example, doctors can visualize movement with each tray using an interactive 3D model or use a sideby-side view to compare patient photos with the digital simulation and ensure that teeth are successfully tracking to their final position. For doctors who prefer a hands-off approach to treatment planning, Reveal lab technicians are there to help every step of the way.
“It’s a very easy software to navigate,” said Dr. Huck. “And if you are not satisfied with the treatment plan, you can just message the Reveal lab and add notes for what you want to change.
Reveal Clear Aligners have been increasingly popular among Dr. Huck’s patients, so much so that he now has over 15 patients signed up in advance to receive Reveal treatment. He is also hosting a “Reveal Day” in his office that will feature discounted fees for individuals who sign up for Reveal treatment that same day.
