Known for offering reliable impression materials, cements, core buildups, and composites, Kettenbach brings 80-plus years of restorative expertise into the digital workflow with the new Visalys BioCeramic Block.

Designed for efficient, single-visit dentistry, the block allows clinicians to create chairside restorations in 3 simple steps: milling, finishing, and cementation—no glazing required.

Durability Meets Elasticity

What makes the Visalys BioCeramic Block unique is that it combines 3 key CAD/CAM material properties: the esthetics of glass ceramic, the compressive strength of aluminum oxide, and the flexibility and chip resistance of a resin.

The hybrid block, which is made from a single glass-ceramic phase embedded in a carbon matrix, also undergoes a special laser sintering and vitrification technique that allows it to mimic the biomechanics of natural teeth.

This gives restorations a unique combination of strength and flexibility—lithium disilicate-like durability and dentin-like elasticity.

A Shorter Grind

Visalys BioCeramic is available as a translucent block that mimics natural enamel for maximum esthetics; a high-chroma block that matches VITA shades for reliable shade-matching and masking; and an implant block compatible with Ti-Base systems.

With shorter milling and grinding times, it allows for a straightforward cementation process with excellent sealing and no microleaks.

A short polishing step is all it takes to achieve a high-gloss shine, while an ultrafine glass microstructure ensures the shine will last. Plus, zinc oxide and fluoride inside the block help keep plaque at bay.
