Clinicians navigate numerous demands in daily practice, from performing complex procedures and managing patient expectations to maintaining a highly efficient practice environment. The last thing they need is added frustration over their choice of cement. Matthew Miller, DDS, has found solace in Kerr Dental's Maxcem Elite universal resin cement thanks to its incredible ease of use. Learn why he's dubbed it “the Swiss army knife of dental cements” in his office, and how it consistently delivers success without compromise.

I have been using Maxcem Elite for many years, and in our large group practice, it also has been a hit among all 7 doctors any time they need to cement high-strength glass ceramics, lithium disilicate, zirconia, or metal. I can use it in virtually any clinical scenario with confidence that I won't have issues with failure or microleakage.

I love watching the restorations age along with my patients, without seeing any debonds or staining. In fact, we've even noticed improved tissue health in many patients' treatment areas, with minimal to no issues with their new restorations. This truly speaks volumes to the quality of our indirect restorative work, and I believe Maxcem Elite plays a big part in that.

Simple, Universal Success

Maxcem Elite is like the Swiss army knife of dental cements—it can do it all! Between current patients and cosmetic referrals, I have cemented numerous crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, endodontic posts, implants, and veneers with it, and I continue to see great success.

One patient was having issues with veneers performed by another clinician. After recementing 2 of them with Maxcem Elite, she told us they felt even better than the day they were placed.

Because the cement performs equally well in all curing modes, I don’t have to worry about having both a self-cure and light-cure material on hand, or overcomplicating procedures by switching cements midway through.

Exceptional Cleanup

Also available is Maxcem Elite Chroma, which offers the same performance and bond strength of Maxcem Elite but with the added benefit of a gel-state color cleanup indicator. This makes its One-Peel cleanup even easier, and thanks to Kerr's proprietary redox initiator system, the pink color disappears after curing and won't affect the final restoration.

Before using Maxcem Elite, I noticed that other purely clear cements darkened patients' restorations because they changed the value and optical properties. That isn't the case with this cement. I predominantly use the clear shade of Maxcem Elite Chroma, and its frosted opacity gives my restorations high value and color stability that last beautifully over time.

 A Trusted Cement

Clinically, Maxcem Elite offers outstanding results. Its handling, versatility, cleanup, and color stability are just awesome features, and I like its predictability across a variety of procedures without needing to compromise in any area. For me, it’s been nothing short of a trusted cement.
