To persuade patients to opt for fluoride treatment, I explain how it prevents decay, strengthens teeth, combats sensitivity, remineralizes weak areas, and fights bacteria. In my opinion, treatment is a necessity if the patient already has decay or has had any restorations done in the past. I also mention that Duraflor Ultra is particularly effective due to its faster fluoride release than the other brands I've used. In addition, its silky smooth consistency means it will dry nicely on their teeth.
The packaging is efficient and easy to open, with a "peel and apply" feature that eliminates messes and the risk of cross-contamination. Applying the varnish to the teeth is a very quick process, and the maximum amount will remain on the teeth without getting ingested by the patient. This is especially important when treating children.

What ultimately sells patients of all ages? The flavor options. Duraflor Ultra varnish is sweetened with xylitol and comes in 3 flavors: caramel, mint, and strawberry. With other varnishes that I have used, the flavors are apparent in odor but not in taste. With Duraflor Ultra, patients benefit from both a great smell and taste, which translates to an increase in patient acceptance. Most are pleasantly surprised with the flavors, and it makes their overall dental experience a more positive one. Who wouldn't want their dental care to taste like dessert?
Even my adult patients have reacted positively to treatment with Duraflor Ultra, and I have received no complaints so far.
