When it comes to bonding agents, I prefer an adhesive that I can use on any substrate and in any clinical situation. Kulzer has answered that call with its iBond Universal light-curing adhesive.

iBond Universal has all the features that I look for in an adhesive bonding agent:
• Versatility across all indications and simplicity in performing any type of bonding procedure— total-etch, selective-etch,           or self-etch
• Reliable and easy to use with good bond strengths
• Desensitizes the tooth, especially during postoperative procedures
• Stays stable without needing to be refrigerated.

Overall, iBond Universal provides excellent bond strength with clinical ease of use. It stands out from other adhesives because it is composed of a reliable acetone-based material along with 4-META and MDP as its monomers. Particularly on dentin, 4-META is well documented to show extremely powerful adhesion, while MDP, with its chain-like monomer, has very good hydrophobic characteristics, making it highly effective especially on enamel, metal, and oxide ceramics.

Clinicians should check out iBond Universal because it enables them to bond to composite materials such as zirconia, silicate ceramics, and metals. It is also compatible with all light-cure, dualcure, and self-cure materials, without the need for an additional dual-cure activator bottle.

In short, iBond Universal is minimally invasive, easy to use, and it works. A truly universal bonding agent, iBond is a versatile material that handles all bonding needs.
