PowerScrub
Eco-friendly vacuum line cleaner releases microbial cleansing enzymes to dissolve vacuum line debris on contact in minutes
When Daniel Florian, DMD, who has a practice in North Royalton, OH, first tried PowerScrub by Solmetex, little did he know it would change the way he cleans his vacuum lines. In those tubes, inorganic matter—such as blood, carbohydrates, saliva, tooth matter, and amalgam— builds up and turns sticky, reducing the flow space for air and water. But on the first use, Dr. Florian could hear the product clear the debris, something his previous solvent had not accomplished. “Our lines are now working great with no issues, and patients know they are getting great suction,” Dr. Florian said. “Since I’ve implemented PowerScrub in my office, I noticed better suction power and improved patient suction.” PowerScrub is also beneficial for patients because they experience less pooling of saliva in the mouth and better oral debris removal.
Continual Cleaning Action
PowerScrub releases microbial cleansing enzymes to dissolve vacuum line debris on contact. The eco-friendly, 100% biodegradable formulation remains in vacuum lines overnight for continual cleaning action and rinses clean when the job is done. Compatible with all dental vacuum systems and amalgam separators, PowerScrub has a neutral pH between 6 and 8, meeting the EPA dental requirements. It is the only vacuum line cleaner recommended for use with the NXT Hg5 Series amalgam separator from Solmetex.
Easy to Use
During the recent DPS review of PowerScrub by a team of dentists, many lauded its effectiveness and ease of use. No hot water is required, as PowerScrub works with all water temperatures. The Sidekick dispenser and convenient Tip & Measure feature on the bottle further optimize ease of use. “PowerScrub is so easy and simple to use. It takes just minutes to accomplish an important aspect of dental maintenance,” said Dr. Shalom Mehler.
For Dr. Florian, the best part about PowerScrub is simple—it does what it claims with minimal time and effort: “It cleans and power scrubs my suction tubing,” he said. “It really works!”
