Dr. Kim received his dental degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and completed his periodontology training and Doctor of Medical Science in oral biology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM), where he is an associate professor. A diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, Dr. Kim has received numerous honors, including the Joseph L. Henry Award from Harvard, the Balint Orban Research Award, the Award for Outstanding Teaching and Mentoring in Periodontics, and both Junior and Senior Faculty Awards from HSDM. His clinical and research interests focus on innovative approaches to soft- and hard-tissue regeneration, bone regeneration, and dental implant therapy, with extensive publications in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks.
