Why I Use: Aurora Sensor

Digital intraoral sensor offers superior image quality, unparalleled speed, and a 5-year full-coverage protection plan

When Dr. Nathan Shpritz began researching new intraoral sensors for his practice, he turned to a company he has relied upon for years for digital dentistry. Here, he explains how Sodium Dental’s Aurora sensor provides top-tier image quality, speed, and peace of mind.

I t’s not every day that we come across a 5-year warranty for dental equipment, and that’s exactly what I received when I purchased the Aurora intraoral sensor from Sodium Dental. Everyone knows that intraoral sensors are prone to repairs—simply because of what we require of them. But I don’t have to worry about additional costs for repairs, and not just in the near-term future, but for the next 5 years! That’s because this is truly not the warranty we typically see with equipment like this.

Before purchasing the Aurora, I used phosphor plates. I was using Sodium Dental for my computer work, so I began researching the Aurora, and the two things that stood out the most with Aurora were the high-quality images and the 5-year warranty.

Superior Image Quality

With the Aurora, my images are great. They are far superior to those I was getting with the phosphor plates. I have found the radiographs to be extremely clear and diagnostic. It’s a very high-quality image. Plus, everything is so very, very quick. They advertise that there are 4 seconds between capture and sensorready, and I have seen that firsthand.

I’ve been using the Aurora for about 2 years now, and I haven’t had any problems at all. Nothing has broken. Nothing has shorted out. The cables and the sensors are still perfect. The software that I use works seamlessly with Aurora. I can honestly say I haven’t had a minute’s problem with this system.

My patients appreciate the design because it has a rounded, smoother edge and it's more comfortable for placement. The speed and ease of use are the top comments heard from my staff and my patients.

Unmatched Warranty

Above everything else is the warranty for full accidental coverage. Sodium Dental is behind this product 100 percent. To sum things up, I would urge you to investigate what the Aurora can do for you and your practice. The image quality is excellent, the ease of use is wonderful, the tech support team at Sodium Dental is great to work with, and, I believe, the warranty is the best in the industry
