But over time, formulations can improve, too.
That’s the case with Panasil® Monophase Medium, an addition-cured silicone that is recommended for various types of impressions, but especially monophasic impressions including for removable prosthetics, fixation, functional and pickups. It can also be used for one-step and reline impressions.
Panasil, the first A silicone from Kettenbach, has been available for more than 35 years. The vinyl polysiloxane now comes in 15 products. Panasil Monophase Medium is a new, medium-viscosity material that improves upon an earlier silicone formulation.
Monophase Medium boasts features such as a two-minute work time and two-minute setting time. It also has a high final hardness, thixotropy and elasticity and is both odor and taste free.
What’s more, the earlier Panasil silicone was hydrophobic, but Monophase Medium is initially hydrophilic with a contact wetting angle at less than 10 degrees, greater hydrophillicity than many of its competitors. Its hydrophilic nature makes the flow reliable and precise even in oral environments compromised with excessive saliva or blood. Clinicians will see consistent, dependable results from this easy to use silicone, and patients will be pleased with the accurate results it produces.
Panasil Monophase Medium is available in 50 ml cartridges and 380 ml jumbo packs.
