If a patient needs tooth replacements in several areas of the mouth, Clearmet from Keystone Industries offers a metal-free, monomer-free alternative to traditional partial dentures. Some patients object to the taste or metal or may be allergic to various alloys. The Clearmet clear thermoplastic resin was designed for biocompatibility and has shown no known allergic reactions. It is highly durable, stain-resistant, odor-free, and really hard to see inside the patient’s mouth. The thermoplastic microcrystalline transparent polyamide material  is very user friendly: the clasps can be adjusted chairside using a warm, three-pronged plier; and saddle areas are easily repaired. The clasps are tooth bearing rather than tissue bearing, and translucent.

Clearmet was designed to be easy to adjust, reline, repair, and wear. The ultra-transparent framework is very lightweight, so patients will hardly know they are wearing a denture, and with the translucent frame and clasps, no one else will either.

Clearmet is available in two size packages, small and medium, each of which come in packages of five tubes. For more information, click here, and to watch a video on how they are made, click here.
