Bisco introduces Reveal HD Bulk, which has been optimized with a superior filler resin and handling/curing properties to improve the physical placement as well as resulting quality of bulk-filled posterior restorations. Reveal HD Bulk is a light-cured composite that offers the ability to easily and quickly fill large cavities in a single layer that has the depth of cure, strength, and hardness properties of a layering composite and the esthetics of an anterior composite.
Bisco has perfected its filler-resin system refractive index to the point where it is a nearly perfect match to surrounding enamel when light hits it, plus it refracts and distributes the beam of a curing light to provide a substantial depth of cure (5-6 mm ISO). This creates a very solid restoration from the top down, which eliminates the need to place multiple layers, light cure multiple times, or place a base/liner.
Bisco’s proprietary filler complex also allows for exceptional polishability, radiopacity, and strength while reducing shrinkage. Increased radiopacity makes it easier to monitor the integrity of restorations, as well as any developing secondary caries, which makes Reveal HD Bulk an especially user-friendly and functioning posterior composite.
Reveal HD Bulk is easy to place in preps—it is highly syringable and it won’t stick to instruments or pull back. Clinicians will appreciate the simple delivery system as well as the composite’s viscosity, which combined, ensures that the composite fills the necessary margins without voids.
Available in shades A1, A2, A3, and B1, Reveal HD Bulk is also indicated for anterior restorations, including occlusal surfaces. Additional indications include using Reveal HD Bulk as a base/liner under any direct restorations, for core build-ups, splinting, seating indirect restorations such as onlays and veneers, in deciduous teeth, for sealing large fissures in molars and premolars, and for repairing defects in porcelain restorations, enamel, and temporaries.
Reveal HD Bulk comes in 3-g syringes, and 25-count and 50-count unit dose packs. For more information, click here.
