If you’re attending the Chicago Dental Society’s Midwinter Meeting, you’ll have six different exciting opportunities to take advantage of continuing education sessions sponsored by Air Techniques.

All classes are worth one CE credit and will be held in Air Techniques’ booth, No. 1425.

The first three classes will be held on the first day of the meeting, Feb. 22. At 11 a.m., learn about early intervention advancements in “Susan McMahon. Are you using sharp explorers and radiographs to find identify caries? Florescence technology can help you find these lesions earlier, giving you more options for treating your patient with a minimally invasive intervention.

At 1 p.m., learn about “Infection Control: Why it Always Matters” with Dr. Sheri Doniger. Infection control practices keep everyone—including your patient—safe. Are you doing all you can to create and follow policies and procedures that incorporate best practices for sterilization? What’s more, your choice of equipment can make a big difference in ensuring safety.

The 3 p.m. session, “Radiation Safety with the Pediatric and Adolescent Patient,” presented by Dr. Juan Yepes, examines how you can limit your younger patients’ exposure to radiation while still getting the images you need. Understanding parental concern can help you mitigate their fear and increase their comfort with your approach.

On Feb. 23, you have three new classes available.

At 11 a.m., learn how you can improve the preventive care you provide to children during “Practicing Ideal Pediatric Dentistry:  Concepts in Preventive Care with Dr. Mark Cannon. The session will cover best practices for treating youngsters, as well as special circumstances you may encounter in treating this population.

At 1 p.m., get a better understanding of your newest equipment options during “Better Equipping Your Dental Practice: Making the Right Choices with Dr. Gregori Kurtzman. If you’re considering adding, replacing or even upgrading equipment such as compressors, vacuum systems or amalgam separators, you should know what issues to consider, such as maintenance requirements and environmental impact. Make an informed choice about what’s best for your practice.

The final Air Techniques offering at the meeting is the 3 p.m. session, “Solving the Diagnostic Dilemma: You Can't Treat What You Can't See!” with Dr. Ron Kaminer. Could you be saving time and increasing case acceptance by using new diagnostic tools? Kaminer will discuss new options as well as how to communicate your recommendations to your patients in a way that helps them feel educated and confident about undergoing treatment.

You can attend one, a few, or even all of these sessions while at the meeting. Find out more about these events and register now to secure a spot.
