Are We Done Yet? Finishing a ClearCorrect Case

It must be hard sometimes for both the patient and the clinician to agree on when a case is complete. Each person sees things from their own point of view, with their own goals and worries in mind. A patient might be impatient for the process to be over (time-wise or financially), or conversely, disagree with the dentist that the perceived problems have all been all fixed.

ClearCorrect has some advice on the matter. One of their Tech Tips posts covers how to finish cases with your patients. First, talk to the patient—see how they feel about it before announcing their treatment has reached its conclusion. Residual spaces may need to be fixed, one tooth may not have aligned as expected, sometimes uneven incisal edges, marginal ridges, and black triangles will require some restorative dentistry to make the patient happy with his or her new smile.

ClearCorrect offers options for correcting situations that might be bothering either you or a patient. To read about some of them and how to resolve them, click here.
