Kettenbach, in partnership with the Las Vegas Dental Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, recognized excellent work in the aesthetics of dentistry last month at the International Association of Physiologic Aesthetics (IAPA) annual conference in Las Vegas. The IAPA connects clinicians with opportunities to learn about and experience advanced oral health and practice management education.
Through the Aesthetic Eye program, now in its third year, clinicians who are IAPA members submit photos that illustrate their skill in aesthetics. According to Kettenbach, the program received more submissions this year than in prior years, so the program was particularly competitive this year.
The 2018 winners were:
Single Tooth Anterior: Dr. Nicol Cook
Full Arch Full Mouth Restoration: Dr. Tina Chandra
Anterior Aesthetics: Dr. Paul Peterson
Glamour Photo: Dr. Gordon Rye
Winners, who were chosen by the Aesthetic Eye review panel prior to the event, were each awarded $500 in Kettenbach products. Kettenbach is an industry leader in manufacturing dental impression materials.
From the four winners, IAPA attendees were encouraged to vote for one of the four winners for the top peer award, the People’s Choice Award. That went to Dr. Chandra, who won another $500 in Kettenbach products and $1,000. Chandra is a cosmetic and neuromuscular dentist in Ocala, Fla.
There was something in it for the voters, too. Kettenbach held a drawing for a Beats wireless headset; the winner of that prize was Dr. Andrea Robinson.
