The New Year brings new opportunities to incorporate cutting-edge dental technologies, like 3D printing, into your operatory. At the same time, makers of 3D desktop printers, like SprintRay, are also trying to expand their reach into the dental profession. A recently inked agreement will help the Los Angeles-based manufacturer do just that.

SprintRay announced a distribution agreement with Patterson Dental to bring its high-resolution desktop 3D printer to dental practitioners throughout the U.S. and Canada. Under the agreement, Patterson will distribute the complete range of SprintRay’s solutions, including the MoonRay desktop 3D printer (seen below) as well as resins and accessories.

“Digital dentistry demands a modern 3D printing solution to provide doctors and patients with the very best experience possible. That is why we are so excited to be working with Patterson Dental,” stated Amir Mansouri, CEO of SprintRay.

Josh Killian, vice president of marketing for Patterson Dental, added that SprintRay’s offerings will appeal to Patterson customers looking to further their endeavors in digital dentistry. He commented, “High-resolution desktop 3D printing appliances and models in house are a key part of the next evolution in dentistry.”

The distribution agreement took effect on Nov. 1, 2017 with immediate benefits to all of Patterson Dental’s customers in the U.S. and Canada. SprintRay will continue to provide direct technical support to customers.
