My team and I deliver dentistry in a modern, state-of-the art office, so it’s important to invest in reliable technology that gives me a good return on my investment. ProVecta HD from Air Techniques fits those requirements for me.
The system works well in my hands and fits with my workflow. For example, if I want to use our ScanX Swift to take x-rays, the ProVecta HD is calibrated well for that, but if I choose to use a sensor, its versatility allows me to get a nice, sharp image. ProVecta HD integrates efficiently into my practice workflow, and as soon as I turn it on the default presets are what I need depending on the image I’m taking.
From the beginning, we’ve had a good experience with this equipment, starting with the installation, which was very easy. We work with a group of technicians at J&B Dental in Garfield, NJ. They removed our old machine and installed the new one during an afternoon. It was a relatively simple process—we did a few calibrations, tested the buttons, and we were good to go.
Because there’s almost no learning curve, anyone in the office can use the ProVecta HD easily. The manufacturer limits KvP and mA settings to optimal values, and the buttons are intuitive. The sleek ergonomic design fits the overall esthetic of the office as well.
As dentists we’re often inundated with new toys to buy, all claiming to make our job easier and more efficient. Some are useful and others not so much. Most of what we do involves diagnosing disease and treatment planning, so intraoral radiography is one of the most valuable tools in the practice. Without question, our ProVecta HD gets used everyday. It’s a very handy piece of equipment to have in the office.
