Reflectys is a light-cured, radiopaque, nanohybrid composite material that can be used to restore either anterior or posterior teeth, all cavity classes (I-V) and fractured teeth, in adults and children. I’m not a dentist, but I’m guessing Reflectys couldn’t be more universal. This composite from Itena North America comes in 16 shades, making it even more versatile. The shade range encompasses two opaque shades, enamel and incisal shades, and a shade specifically for pedo cases.
By all accounts, Reflectys is easy to handle—it doesn’t stick to instruments or gloves. It is easy to sculpt as well as quickly polish to a luster that reflects natural teeth. It offers low polymerization shrinkage, better marginal adaptation, low abrasion, and excellent mechanical resistance for durable restorations due to is micro-and nanoparticles. In addition, it contains fluoride, and produces little to no post-op sensitivity.
Reflectys restorations are very esthetic, resulting in invisible and perfect integration of the composite with the natural dentition.
Available in a 4-g syringe format or 0.25-g capsules, and a 2-g flowable form.
