Ultradent Helps Make the World a Better Place

With all the bizarre events taking place in our world right now, some Americans may be struggling to look at the bright side of things. But, even with the devastation from the COVID-19 pandemic, nationwide protests and riots, and an economic recession, we can still choose the power of positive thinking and view the glass as half full instead of half empty. One way to do that is to surround ourselves with positive vibes and inspirational people who bring out the best in us.

One dental manufacturer that excels at spreading positive vibes is Utah-based Ultradent Products, Inc., who believes that caring for and about others is of utmost importance. On a mission to “improve oral health globally,” Ultradent works to improve the quality of life and health of individuals through financial and charitable programs, both inside and outside the dental community. Ultradent and its 1,400 employees also strive to make the world a better place by promoting greater social responsibility and dedicating themselves to humanitarian efforts all over the world.

Protect Health Care Workers

As the COVID-19 pandemic threatens our health and economy, the Ultradent team stepped up to the plate to help protect medical professionals fighting on the front lines. In early May, in the heart of the shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE), Ultradent donated 12,000 disposable face masks to University of Utah Health.

“We’re all deeply indebted to the medical professionals saving lives and reducing suffering caused by this pandemic,” said Ultradent President, Dirk Jeffs, in a recent press release. “The work being done both in Utah and around the world is admirable. We’re hoping these masks will help our Utah neighbors in their fight against this virus.”

Ultradent’s good deeds were much appreciated by University of Utah Health, and they expressed deep appreciation for the generous support from Ultradent and other businesses and community members. “We are especially thankful for the generosity of local businesses, which give even while many are suffering themselves during this time,” said University of Utah Health’s Executive Director of Network Development and Telehealth, Tad Morley.

Free Online CE Offerings

Also during the COVID-19 pandemic, Ultradent began offering free online continuing education (CE) courses to assist dental professionals who experienced travel restrictions and reduced or eliminated income from closed dental practices. Featuring timely courses covering a wide range of topics in dentistry, Ultradent’s online portal is easy to access at ultradent.teachable.com. One especially popular offering in the wake of the pandemic is a course called COVID-19 Now and Beyond “The New Norm”, which discusses dental topics related to COVID-19.

“Ultradent is very pleased to offer these free online CE courses as part of our long-standing focus on education,” said Ultradent’s Director of Field Marketing, Jack Phillips, in a press release. “We look forward to continuing partnering with you, your practice, and your staff in an effort to pursue Ultradent’s mission of improving oral health globally.”
