Semi-adjustable articulators are used for complex occlusal rehabilitation, full-mouth reconstruction, and cases requiring precise centric relation mounting. Simple hinge articulators are adequate for single-tooth restorations. Digital articulators integrated into CAD/CAM software are increasingly replacing physical articulators in digital workflow practices.
