Cordless designs with consistent battery output and built-in radiometers to verify intensity over time are preferred for busy multi-operatory practices.

Curing light intensity degrades over time and with sterilization cycles — most manufacturers recommend monthly radiometer testing. A light delivering below 400 mW/cm² will significantly under-cure composites, increasing microleakage and failure rates.
