Designed for finishing of anterior composite restorations, Shofu's Artistic Composite Kit features a selection of diamonds, carbides, and stones. Arranged in a sequence of logical steps, the instruments are associated with "The Essence of Composite Art," an artistic restoration concept developed by Frank J. Milnar, DDS, AAACD. The minimally invasive protocol begins with creating a unified surface using fi ne and super fi ne Robot Diamonds in various shapes, which helps effectively prep the surface for further characterization. In the following steps, 3 facial planes—the emergence profile, facial aspect of the tooth, and the incisal third—and secondary anatomy are created with a fi ne-grit T&F Hybrid Point diamond and egg-shaped Robot Carbide Finisher. The flame-shaped Dura-Green Stone is included for areas of the restoration where light-diffusing architecture is needed. Finally, macro and micro esthetics are achieved with 8-, 16-, and 30-fluted Robot Carbide Finishers.
