How Does Astringedent X Create Hemostasis?

Astringedent X offers profound hemostasis for every patient, even with the most challenging cases

Achieving rapid and sufficient hemostasis can be a challenge, and failure to do so can negatively impact treatment out-comes while increasing chair time and reducing efficiency. Astringedent X is an aqueous 12.7% iron solution that contains an equivalent ferric sulfate and ferric subsulfate acting quickly to blood in the sulcus and prematurely forming a superficial clot and stopping the bleeding. The Dento infuser developed by Ultradent permits the diffusion of the hemostatic solution into cut capillaries by rubbing firmly against the bleeding tissues until bleeding stops. The rubbing motion wipes away excess coagulum, creating an even surface with the cut tissue. Hemostasis may be obtained in as little as two to three passes around the sulcus.
