BISCO’s team of All-Bond Universal and Duo-Link Universal provides durable, predictable results and is an easy solution for indirect restorations
A successful partnership. A perfect pair. The dream team. No matter how it’s described, pairing All-Bond Universal with Duo-Link Universal is a recipe for successful, predictable cementation. Plus, both BISCO products have the DPS Best Product badges to prove it. It’s because of this strength, simplicity, and universality that Mitchell Pasenkoff, DMD, uses both products for his zirconia and pretreated lithium disilicate crowns, and why he’s never felt the urge to use anything else.
“All-Bond Universal and Duo-Link Universal are just made for each other,” Dr. Pasenkoff shared. “They can bond to different surfaces and can be used in any etching technique. I believe the unique combination of the 2 materials goes back to the basics of resin cements." He explained: "Today, we have resin cements that contain 3 elements: etching, a bonding agent, and the actual cement. In my experience, I’ve found that sometimes, this combination leads to sensitivity, along with possible weakness in the bonding strength of the cement. Using this BISCO combination eliminates that problem.”
All-Bond Universal
The culmination of over 30 years of adhesive research, BISCO’s All-Bond Universal is highly versatile and compatible with light-, dual-, and self-cured materials. Its ideal chemical balance results in effective delivery of adhesion, all in a single bottle. All-Bond Universal offers flexibility and can be used with total-, self-, and selective-etch techniques, does not require an activator, and contains MDP monomers for enhanced durability.
Duo-Link Universal
Duo-Link Universal adhesive resin cement is both light- and self-cured and can be used with adhesives that are compatible with all dental materials, including BISCO adhesives. Radiopaque and ideal for cementing CAD/CAM restorations, it offers quick and easy removal of excess cement and features an automix dual-syringe for a perfect mix and easy placement.
For Dr. Pasenkoff, using both materials together is a tried-and-true solution for crowns. He begins with trying in, then cleaning and priming the tooth. Next, he selectively etches the remaining enamel, and then places All-Bond Universal, light-curing for 20 seconds.
“I then cement the crown using Duo-Link Universal resin cement and either light-cure for 40 seconds or have the patient bite down for about 3 minutes. I clean excess cement and the procedure is complete. By using the etch, bonding agent, and resin cement and breaking each down into separate steps, I’ve found less sensitivity and better bond strength after cementation. It’s a more efficient procedure and the end result is always what matters most,” he shared.
