Complex. Involved. Intricate. Challenging. Thinking about dental implants yet? One of dentistry’s most cutting-edge restorative treatments, implant placement fits all of those descriptors and requires a variety of products and technologies—including the implant itself. For Terry Zervos, DDS, in Dunedin, FL, Ritter's Spiral SB/LA implant system has been his go-to for over 5 years.

“I'm a happy user of the Ritter implant system,” said Dr. Zervos. “It’s more efficient than others, but the driving factor for me is the implant's design.”

Uniquely Designed & Priced

The Ritter Spiral SB/LA Implant features wider threads at the upper body, designed to increase surface area and reduce bone stress, while transitioning into the lower body with sharper threads. Ritter also was the fi rst to design its Grade 5 titanium alloy implants with a special sandblasting and acid etching process that results in large surface differences on the implant surface. This allows for strong absorption of plasma proteins and blood into the micropores of the implant immediately following insertion—encouraging rapid osseointegration and high stability.

The spiral SB/LA Implant features aggressive threads that give it good primary stability, which can lead to a higher success rate,” Dr. Zervos said. “Ritter is also amazingly cost-efficient—I find the price point to be one-third of other implants.”

Components for Every Case

All Ritter implants feature an internal bevel-hex connection without microgaps. Additionally, the company offers a robust line of prosthetic components and manufactures abutments that are compatible with most implant brands.

“Ritter has a whole library of prosthetic parts that work with whichever diameter implant I’m placing and can accommodate different angulations,” Dr. Zervos said. “Plus, the implants have only 2 platform sizes, and they’re platform-switched as well.”

Dr. Zervos also highlighted how the company is a “one-stop shop” for his practice. “Ritter's customer support is like no other I’ve ever dealt with,” he shared. “I buy multiple products and materials from Ritter—everything from bone grafts to dental chairs. If I have a question about treatment planning, they can connect me with a customer who has done a similar procedure and can offer their expertise.

“I have a high success rate and a low failure rate, primarily because I’ve learned to take my time, approaching every challenge with my full attention and striving for one miracle at a time,” he concluded.
