The word “rough” is typically used as a negative connotation—for example, getting off a rough flight, going through a rough time, or dealing with someone who’s a bit rough around the edges. But in dentistry, rough can be a good thing. Case in point? The sandblasted and acid-etched implant surface—a hallmark of Ritter Implants.

One of the first German dental companies in the world, the Ritter brand has been serving the global dental community since 1887. This vast knowledge and experience are infused into every Ritter Implant by way of a special sandblasting and etching process that creates large surface differences on the implant surface. This allows for strong absorption of plasma proteins and blood into the micropores of the implant immediately after insertion—facilitating rapid osseointegration and higher primary stability. While Ritter was the first manufacturer to develop this sand-blasted with large-grit, acid-etched (SB/LA) surface on Grade 5 titanium alloy, its versatile line of implant and prosthetic solutions goes far beyond that.

Designed for Success

With a virtually unrivaled prosthetic line, Ritter manufactures compatible abutments for most major implant brands—including multiunit and overdenture abutments—and uses an internal bevel-hex connection without microgaps.

When it comes to implant design, the Ritter Spiral SB/LA Implant boasts a unique thread design with wider threads in the upper body, which increase surface area and reduce bone stress, then transitioning into sharper threads for self-tapping function.

Apical blades allow angular adjustment for parallelism during the insertion process, while a rounded apex minimizes the risk of membrane rupture during sinus lift procedures. Microgrooves add greater surface area and reduce stress on crestal bone, preventing marginal bone loss and increasing bone-to-implant contact.

Turnkey Packaging

The Ritter Spiral SB/LA Implant is protected by a sealed package with a sterile barrier, and the lot number is clearly marked on the outside of the package so that the dental team can quickly and reliably identify the implant’s length and diameter.

All implants are supplied in single or 10-packs, while prosthetic components come in single or 20-packs. Plus, every Ritter Implant includes a cover screw and is backed by a lifetime guarantee.
