For example, if you're doing an esthetic temporary procedure and you want to add a different type of highlight to the material, you can add Visalys Flow inside your matrix. You can do this as a closed system with your matrix over the flow-able material, and then when you add Visalys Temp, you get a direct adhesion without needing to go back in and do an extra hybrid layer of a bond. It’s seamless. With a lot of other temporary materials, when we're doing an addition, we have to cut back the temporary material and then do our addition with a flowable or base composite material, which creates an extra step.
With the Visalys materials, you can actually do this as an all-in-one procedure. It saves tons of chair time, and then you also get the beauty of a wonderful esthetic composite as the temporary itself.
Polish Up for the Win
The Flex Shade System works very well for giving a chameleon effect to the tooth. The shades have different opacity layers to them, so you can adjust the composite to blend into the tooth area very well.
And, because of Visalys Temp's composite nature, it polishes up nicely, and that polishability is better for gum health. The higher the polish rate, the least amount of bacterial nature that’s going to adhere to the tooth or temporary because of porosities or a rough appearance. Ultimately, less plaque and bacteria accumulation add up to less sensitivity, happier gums, and a happier patient.
