With her background in the medical industry, Trombley saw the value smart technology, analytics, and data has played in advancing patient healthcare, and believed similar steps could be taken in the dental industry that could streamline dentists’ workflows.

Aeras Dental Vacuum Systems
The Aeras Dental Vacuum Systems by Ramvac use a cloud-based system to monitor equipment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The “smart” system generates text or email notifications when maintenance is required, allowing practices to stay ahead of potential problems. Additionally, it can be powered up or down remotely from any location, which means units can be turned on or off on a schedule for energy savings. There are no wires or WiFi to connect to or apps to download because the equipment connects automatically through cellular means and information is accessed through any web browser. A comprehensive dashboard provides a bird's eye view of a practice’s entire back-office operations, including detailed technical outputs, configuration options, and service records. In addition, technicians can access each unit remotely, saving time and cost of service appointments.

Aeras Dental Air Compressors
Like Aeras Vacuums, Aeras Dental Air Compressors by Ramvac include round-the-clock monitoring and protection at no charge. The Ramvac product line includes the C3-12, C3-12SS, C5-12, and C5-12SS dual-voltage models that can work with both 115- and 230-volt electrical installations. Larger sizes that can accommodate up to 18 users are also available on the Aeras platform, including the C8-2, C12-2, and C18-2. An improved 100% duty cycle motor design allows for continuous, consistent airflow and all models are lighter and quieter than previous models—with no need for bulky sound covers—due to an integrated Sound Shield that provides a sound level as quiet as human conversation.
“Dual voltage means you can have a single compressor unit on the shelf in a service branch location that works on both a 115- and 230-volt circuit, so you don’t have to manage 2 different models depending on the electrical requirements,” McCaffrey said. “It saves inventory space and the versatility helps solve clients’ needs faster and more efficiently. It also is lighter and substantially quieter and has a smaller footprint, and we recognize that utility rooms are not getting any larger and our customers are facing incredible challenges out there.”
Dry air prevents bacteria growth and air is filtered to 0.01 microns, which effectively traps most airborne microbes. The compressor is backed by the industry’s longest warranty period, with all parts covered for up to 6 years.

Taking Aeras a Step Further…
DENTALEZ took the Aeras Intelligence Platform a step further by integrating it into the company’s storied line of Star handpieces. With the ability to access critical data such as usage, sterilization, warranty, and maintenance that’s tracked in the cloud software, practices can use the data to identify inefficiencies and make improvements in their daily workflows.
