Axsys Dental Solutions: Dedicated to Digital
CAD/CAM technology is amazing, but it can also be daunting. Axsys helps match practices with equipment that meets their needs now and as they grow in experience and services.
Before there was CAD/CAM, there was Axsys. In 1978, at the dawn of the personal computing era, Axsys was already involved in digital manufacturing, building its expertise with a wide range of computer-aided machine tools. Since then, it has accumulated more than 40 years of unparalleled experience with all methods of manufacturing dental prostheses, from milling to sintering to 3D printing. Today, it offers customers throughout the Americas the full benefit of that knowledge.
Are you interested in bringing CAD/CAM services into your practice, but wondering where to start? Axsys can help. Not only does it offer a full line of technology solutions, from intraoral scanners to 3D design software to high-precision milling machines and restorative materials, but it also provides training programs and skilled technical support to help practices make the transition from analog to digital. Based on fundamental principles of education, support, and honesty, Axsys is dedicated to providing its customers with “real machines” for the dental industry and supporting them in their use.
Precision is another advantage of Axsys’ long history with CAD/CAM. Users of Axsys software and fabrication equipment find that the delivery time for their dental prostheses can be reduced by up to 50% because the restorations they produce require so little adjustment. This contributes to greater efficiency, improved patient satisfaction, and not least, increased profits. Flexible, open technology means that Axsys machines can be used with a wide range of software programs and restoration materials, and Axsys offers financing solutions that can be designed to meet your needs.
As the only distributor whose business is wholly focused on digital dental technology, Axsys is dedicated to providing the best products, training, and support for each of its clients. Acting as a trusted advisor, Axsys is ready to build a relationship with your practice to accelerate your business development and put you on the path to greater productivity.
The Multidimensional Versamill Family
Recognized by NADL as the fastest 5-axis mill on the market, the Versamill precisely mills single-unit zirconia and glass ceramic crowns in less than 14 minutes. Features:
• 5-axis configuration
• Wet or dry milling
• Small footprint
• Rigid frame for minimum vibration and maximum accuracy
• High-quality, durable components for reliable long-term operation
• The machine is open to input from any design software
Versamill 5X-300D: The most budget-conscious, compact member of the family, this dry mill makes mastering the fabrication of basic crowns and bridges a snap. Capable of processing virtually any nonmetallic dry-millable material, including wax, zirconia, and composite resins, the Versamill 5X-300D packs industrial power into a clinic-sized machine.
Versamill 5X-400: Stepping up to include abutments in its repertoire, the Versamill 5X-400 is a wet mill, which increases its scope to include a wider range of hard and soft materials like titanium and glass-ceramics. Cory Glenn, DDS, says that he gets a perfect fi t and razor-sharp margins with Versamill 5X-400. “It’s so exact that we rarely need adjustments.” Dr. Glenn uses the mill for crowns, implants, and restorative work. “This is where digital dentistry really shines,” he says. “I can mill titanium blanks and create custom abutments for implants and crowns. I don’t have a $500 lab bill— it’s about $30 for the abutment and $7 for the crown.”
Versamill 5X-450: The new flagship of the Versamill line, the Versamill 5X-450 is a wet mill that puts complete dental prosthetic solutions at the clinician’s fi ngertips. With its ability to process materials up to and including titanium CAD/CAM blanks, the Versamill 5X-450 supports manufacturing everything from crowns, copings, and inlays/onlays, todental bars and implant bridges.
