Composite restorations require a careful balance of both form and function. While clinicians meticulously sculpt the material to restore tooth anatomy, achieve precise occlusion, and maintain proper function, they must also match the color, translucency, and texture of natural teeth for esthetically pleasing results.

A premium nanohybrid flowable composite, Shofu’s Beautifil Flow Plus X enables clinicians to deliver restorations that satisfy these conditions with ease. Its excellent handling properties and predictable shade stability ensure seamless placement and durable, beautiful restorations that promote long-term oral health and patient confidence.

Superior Strength, Esthetics, and Bioactivity

One of the first flowable composites to receive FDA approval for all restorative classes—including occlusal and cusp—Beautifil Flow Plus X provides superior compressive strength and wear resistance. Its polishability is enhanced by significantly reducing the filler particle size, and with similar light transmission and diffusion properties as dentin and enamel, the material blends well with surrounding tooth structure.

Thanks to Shofu’s exclusive Giomer Technology, Beautifil Flow Plus X releases and recharges fluoride and other beneficial ions within the oral environment. Its formulation inhibits bacterial growth, so clinicians can say goodbye to secondary decay and reduce restorative failure (Figure 1), whereas conventional composites may be more susceptible to biofilm formation and secondary caries (Figure 2). Giomer Technology is clinically proven to prevent secondary decay, and the material’s bioactive properties contribute to its ability to neutralize acid and strengthen tooth structure.

A Versatile, Cost-Effective Material

Beautifil Flow Plus X is available in 2 viscosities: a Zero Flow (F00) for precision stacking and zero slumping, which is particularly ideal for Class V restorations; and a Low Flow (F03) that’s self-leveling and offers better adaptability to marginal walls, which makes it a great base or liner. Both viscosities have excellent radiopacity and natural fluorescence.

Overall, Beautifil Flow Plus X helps minimize chair time and patient discomfort, all at a competitive cost that’s 30% lower than comparative products.
