Universal Adhesives: A Brief Clinical Overview
Dental adhesives have come a long way since the first few generations, with many of today's adhesives being single-bottle universal systems. There are advantages and disadvantages presented by each generation, and therein the underlying goal for dental manufacturers is finding ways to present solutions to these challenges; for instance, improving compatibility of adhesives with dual-cured or self-cured materials, while at the same time lessening the number of steps required for bonding.
