Brush&Bond MAX
Improving the retention of direct and indirect restorations while virtually eliminating postop sensitivity
Every clinician has a go-to adhesive they rely on to create a strong, reliable bond. For some, that product has been Parkell's Brush&Bond—a single-bottle bonding system that integrates the initiator into the applicator brush. Lucky for these dentists, as well as any dentist looking to find their next go-to adhesive, Brush&Bond MAX offers stronger adhesion and higher bond strengths to enamel and dentin.
MAXimum Bond Strength, Minimal Sensitivity
Built on decades of clinical success with Brush&Bond, the new Brush&Bond MAX combines etchant, adhesive, and desensitizer into one solution. Deep penetration into tubules promotes the formation of a complex hybrid network, which ensures maximum bond strengths between the tooth and restorative material. This gives clinicians greater confidence that their restorations will withstand the test of time.
With a built-in desensitizing agent, Brush&Bond MAX eliminates postop sensitivity, treats dentin hypersensitivity, and seals crown preps during temporization. When applied before final cementation of indirect restorations, Brush&Bond MAX improves the retention of most self-adhesive resin cements.
Michael Karter, DDS, a clinical consultant for Parkell, has enjoyed being able to test this product himself before its official release in the marketplace. “For me, it’s been a game changer for improving the adhesion of self-adhesive resin cements when inserting crowns on short, tapered, minimally retentive preps, especially second molars," he said.
A Simplified Technique
Many doctors using a bonding agent that requires a scrub application technique aren't confident that they're covering the entire prep surface. Parkell’s touch application technique is an alternative to the scrubbing step required by other bonding agents, some of which require up to 20 to 30 seconds of active scrubbing. Clinicians can dip the head of the chemically treated activator brush into the Brush&Bond MAX liquid and simply touch it to the prep surface, going back and forth until the entire prep surface is moist. Once the brush touches the surface, Brush&Bond MAX penetrates into the tubules. This technique eliminates doubts about being able to scrub the liquid into tight line angles or the bottom of a small proximal box.
