Minimally invasive dentistry is here to stay, and flowable composites are among the innovations that make conservative treatment possible. By enabling precise placement and seamless adaptation even in demanding cases, these materials help dentists preserve more healthy tooth structure and achieve optimal outcomes for patients.
While some flowable composites fall short when it comes to functionality, and others compromise esthetics, Patterson Dental offers a balanced material that delivers on all fronts. With flexible, user-friendly formulations suited for a wide range of restorative indications, Patterson Flowable Composite makes it easier for clinicians to provide lasting restorations that meet the esthetic expectations of today’s patients.
Versatility in 2 Viscosities
Patterson Flowable Composite is a light-cured, radiopaque material available in low and regular viscosities. According to Dr. Kalpesh Mehta, the low viscosity excels not only as a cavity liner, but in many minimally invasive applications. He explained, “It has excellent fl ow and seals pits and fissures well.”
As for the regular viscosity, Dr. Mehta finds that its self-leveling, non-slumping, thixotropic properties make it an ideal base in Class I and II restorations.
Clinicians also can count on Patterson Flowable Composite to craft Class III and IV restorations; treat abrasions, splinting, and abfractions; repair defects; create minor core buildups; cover stains; cement veneers; and block out undercuts.
High Strength and Easy Application
Thanks to a unique blend of fillers and convenient delivery via a 2-g syringe, Patterson Flowable Composite affords precise application and maximum adaptation in all cavity preparations.
“The syringe delivery feels more manageable for smaller procedures,” Dr. Shalom Mehler explained. “I wind up wasting less material and have better control over it.”
Thanks to high compressive and flexural strength, restorations placed anywhere in the oral cavity will stand the test of time.
Made to Meet Esthetic Expectations
Patterson Flowable Composite comes in 6 VITA shades—A1, A2, A3, A3.5, 2XB, and Incisal—all of which display outstanding color stability, natural fluorescence, and polish to a lifelike, glossy finish.
As Dr. Varo Boyer shared, “[Patterson Flowable Composite] makes my work faster and more efficient since I need to make fewer adjustments, spend less time polishing, and do not have to go back and redo anything because the shade and tone match well.”
Dr. Nilay Nanavati enjoyed its “smooth chairside experience,” adding, “Patients with high esthetic demands will be pleased with the finish.”
