Dentrix 2018 Reader's Choice Award

What’s the point of having technology if it doesn’t work together? That’s one question that Dentrix, by Henry Schein One, has tackled in recent years.

Although the practice management software has had its roots in dentistry for nearly 30 years, its vision of a completely paperless front desk grows even stronger. As technology continues to take center stage in the operatory, Dentrix has evolved to become the central point connecting all the digital elements of the practice.

Connecting Dentrix with digital technologies is helping redefine workflows and streamline efficiencies in the practice. Dentrix users have the ability to connect integrated eServices and clinical workflows with their practice management system— from patient communication and claim management to clinical charts and treatment plans.

Getting Connected

One connected solution that’s available in Dentrix’s all-new G7 update is Dentrix Smart Image, which gives practices more freedom to easily acquire and access images from the imaging vendor that works best for them. Smart Image helps clinicians initiate planned imaging by simply selecting the procedure and CDT code within Dentrix. After the imaging software starts and the sensor takes the images, the procedure is automatically saved to the Ledger and the patient record is updated, saving time and manual updating.

A few other features to look out for in Dentrix G7 are improved password functionality; a Health History Module to stay on top of patients’ allergies, conditions, and medical alerts; month-end task scheduling and fill appointment features; and a Payment Agreement Manager that keeps track of agreements and processes saved credit cards in a single, simple-to-manage location.
