Layla Lohmann, DDS, spent years looking for a bleaching product she felt safe using with her pediatric patients. When she tried Flairesse Bleaching Gel CP, she knew she’d found it. The professional-strength formula is available in 5% and 10% carbamide-peroxide concentrations, plus a 16% option for adult patients seeking esthetic whitening.

“Flairesse Bleaching Gel CP gives me great results and very little sensitivity, ultimately helping my young patients be more confident in their smiles,” she said.

Bleaching Without Sensitivity

Similarly, Alan Pressman, DMD, appreciates the gel's mint flavor, low sensitivity, and at-home convenience.

“It works well for teens and adults,” he shared. "Other products have high carbamide-peroxide levels, and patients can be too sensitive for that. Several teen patients are using it at home for cosmetic reasons with very good results and no complaints of 'zingers.'"

Easy handling and convenient syringe delivery make the gel ideal for home use. "The material is more controlled—not runny—and the larger, 5-mL barrel syringe reduces inventory in the office and is easier for patients to handle at home," Dr. Pressman said.

Masking Enamel Opacities

Classified as a medical device, Flairesse was designed specifically to support the treatment of enamel opacities, together with Icon. Used as a system, the treatment improves developmental enamel opacities and medically induced discolorations.

“Most of my patients have incisal hypoplasia, so their 6-year molars and front teeth have white spot lesions, which can be socially challenging—kids make fun of each other for a lot less than that,” Dr. Lohmann said. “Icon resin infiltration reinforces strength and removes the optical illusion of white spots.”

Flairesse Bleaching Gel CP is prescribed for 7 to 10 days; once bleaching is complete, patients wait 2 weeks for their teeth to rehydrate before proceeding with the Icon resin infiltration treatment. Dr. Lohmann shared that this approach allows her to whiten smiles first and then infiltrate the white spots so they blend with the brightened shade.

“These minimally invasive products allow me to help patients who are self-conscious about white spot lesions. I can brighten their smiles while conservatively treating the opacities,” she explained. “I’ve seen incredible results, including on my own son.”
